A fortuitous stop in Reykjavik, Iceland was the start of a unique beverage called Seltzer! Production began in a small bottling plant south of Langjokull Glacier in the summer of 1988. The facility extracted water from a glacier-fed spring, naturally filtered by the black volcanic rock common to the area – and virtually untouched by man (until you drink it) The super-unique Seltzer transparent cans rolled out from Iceland to most parts of the world – its hand crafted recipe, using glacier water and natural alternative flavours were destined to tantalise the taste buds of the young urban elite from London, Munich, Sydney and Johannesburg. By 1992 Zambezi Beverages started to import Seltzer. The all natural ingredients and trendy packaging sparked a soft drink revolution. By 2000 production began locally in 500ml and 1.5L bottle (don’t worry we have kept to the same recipe as the original formula from Iceland, without freezing our bits and pieces off making it for you). Zambezi has since become regarded as an innovator in the beverage market. We provide a total retail solution from warehousing, sales, marketing, distribution, merchandising to key account management.
